Stamps are usually ready the following working
day at about 11:00 am. Saving the stamps up and
making them all together saves time and money.
If the stamp is urgent, we can make it on its
own, but there is an additional cost.
We usually say the urgent stamp will take 45
minutes, but the time very much depends on the
size and complexity of the stamp.
The 45 minute time frame is based on a stamp
about the size of the 4913 with just straight
text. A simple 4911 could be under 25 minutes.
Larger stamps, such as 4926 can be over 1 hour.
If there is a logo or graphic, especially if it
must be converted to halftone, it will add to
the time. Though simple borders, or even round
stamps add very little.

The laser engraving cannot be sped-up, as this
will make the stamp too shallow.
Another factor that affects the time is if I
have to finish what I am doing before I can
start your stamp. I will do my best to make your
stamp first. But the previous job may also be
urgent. It may also be an urgent stamp. Or, I
could be in the middle of making the daily batch
of stamps. The laser cannot be disturbed halfway
through without spoiling the job.
If there is more than one urgent stamp, again,
that will slow things down. But if you do order
2 or more urgent stamps together, you will only
be charged the urgent surcharge once (but the
time may be slightly longer).
So, if you do order an urgent stamp, I will do
my best to get it done as quickly as I can. But
if it does take a little longer, please be
patient.
